Christian McMillan never made eye contact with the judge. It seemed like he was remorseful for what he did to Lesley, and at one point during his arraignment, he even told the judge he wanted to die.
Our cameras followed McMillan as he made his way inside Hidalgo's Municipal Court. Even with the heightened security, we asked the alleged kidnapper what everyone has wanted to know, but he kept walking barefooted, without saying a word. He looked down as he walked inside
It appears he moved to the Rio Grande Valley in the summer of 2007. He quit his job as a debt collector a week ago. McMillan told the judge he also worked as a tractor driver for months and lived alone on this farm in the outskirts of Mercedes.
McMillan is charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Sexual Assault. He was transported to the Hidalgo County Jail where he remains tonight on a $1 million bond.
