Christ Church of the Valley in Brownsville celebrated today as members of the congregation gathered for a dedication ceremony.

"Today's a special day. We've been working for three and a half years to find the place that god wanted us to be full time as a new church."

World Mission Builders, a non-profit Christian missions organization that volunteers to build churches around the world started constructing this church last January.

The 10,000 square foot structure sits on 9 acres and is a place of worship for the congregation of nearly 150. Christ Church of the Valley Minister, John Phillips says he tends to see more of an attendance during this time of year.

"During the winter, our attendance will increase about 30% due to winter texans."

Minister Phillips says he has big plans for the future.

"We're gonna go forward and hopefully build more churches and we'll have expansions on to this building as it grows.
god has something very special for this church and very special for this property."

Christ Church of the Valley was a free offering and Minister Phillips says the newly built house is for the lord and the community.

Pastor Phillips,

Congratulations! The Lord has been gracious to Christ Church of the Valley and it's members. Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

May God continually bless the work he has started in His church.

God Bless,

The Brownsville Ministerial Association
