A hearing will be held on Thursday for a Brownsville couple accused of locking a 12 year-old girl in a closet.

Leticia and Alfredo Ines are accused of locking their daughter in a closet for more than a year. They stated the reason behind it was they didn't want their daughter eating food from the refrigerator. Police say she was malnourished and that one of her brothers made a outcry about the abuse. The couple has been charged with injury to a child which is a second degree felony and unlawful restraint.
