CDC Report Emphasizes the Importance of HIV Testing for Youths

There's a strong push for HIV testing among teens and young adults after new numbers were released by the Centers for Disease Control indicating that 60% of young HIV infected people, between the ages of 13 to 24, don't know they're infected because they don't get tested. Oscar Lopez, Director of Education for the Valley AIDS Council, says Latinos die the quickest after being diagnosed because they wait too long to get tested. He adds that young people between the ages of 17 to 24 visit Valley clinics the most.
