CBP seizes meth at Hidalgo/Reynosa port of entry
HIDALGO CITY, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Custom and Border Protection officers arrested a woman attempting to cross packages of methamphetamine.
On Saturday, April 27, CBP officers encountered a Mexican base taxicab crossing at the Hidalgo/Reynosa port of entry.
The passenger, a 23 year-old Mexican female, presented her passport and then was referred to a secondary inspection by the Custom officer.
During their questioning and inspection, of the woman, Custom officers discovered four package, strapped to her body, of alleged methamphetamine weighing close to six pounds.
The female was arrested and handed over to Homeland Security for further investigation.
