CBP seizes $120K of crystal meth at Hidalgo port of entry
HIDALGO CITY, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Custom and Border Protection officers seized nearly $120,000 in crystal meth at a Hidalgo port of entry.
On Monday, July 8 agents encountered a San Juan woman, 27, driving a green 1995 Chevy Camaro who was selected and sent to a secondary inspection.
During a physical inspection of the vehicle officers discovered four packages, of alleged crystal meth, concealed within the motor of the Camaro and weighing nearly 8 pounds..
The woman was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security investigators with the vehicle and narcotics being seized.
