CBP officers seize $80,000 in heroin
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized $80,000 in heroin at the Gateway International Bridge.
On Monday, September 23rd Custom officers came into contact with a 66 year-old Mexican man at the pedestrian section who was carrying bags of food items.
During the search of the bags officers found two cans holding one package of alleged heroin weighing over two pounds with an estimated street value of $80,000.
The man was arrested and handed over to Homeland Security investigators for further questioning.
