CAVA to monitor May elections in Cameron County
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — State officials could be headed to Cameron county to monitor the vote count on May 11th elections.
CAVA, or Citizens Against Voter Abuse, was working to collect fifteen petition signatures and when collected and approved, the Secretary of States Office will send a representative down to oversee Election Day.
CAVA President, Mary Helen Flores stated, "Mr. Davis did ask us to do this, so he is, his office is very much wanting the same thing we want, clean elections."
Flores says the inspector is simply a safety precaution for the upcoming election.
