Storm chasers record deadly twister as it strikes Joplin

Storm chasers were in close pursuit of the deadly tornado that ripped through Joplin, Missouri on Sunday.

In video captured by TornadoVideos.net you can see one side of the storm spiraling while debris flies in the air.

In the background you can hear the storm chasers are shocked by what they're seeing.

The twister carved a six-mile path through town.

It was about a half-mile wide.

The emergency management team in Jjoplin estimates ten percent of the town took a direct hit.

At last count at least 89 people are dead.
