Caught on camera: Home Explodes

House suddenly explodes, neighbor's surveillance camera captures the shocking blast.

A southeast Michigan home suddenly explodes.

Amazingly, the people inside the house make it out alive.

The blast was caught on a neighbor's surveillance camera.

"I heard a serious loud boom. Loud!"

It's 11:19 AM Sunday morning.

A neighbor's security camera is recording when all of a sudden, smoke fills the air.

"And I looked out and they said, 'Get out! Get out! You gotta go!'"

"It blew up. The house literally blew up and the whole back of it was down."

Neighbors run towards the home on gattegno street, dodging glass and debris.

Three people and two dogs are inside the home at the time.

"Then we see they guy come out. His pants were blew off of him and the house was just... started being on flames."

"We have two people from the house, a female and a six-month-old baby, who are found and are okay."

Following the blast, the guy who was in the house can't be found

Neighbors heard him say he was going back into the burning home for his dog

Rescues crews from Ypsilanti Township and surrounding communities arrive on scene

Specialized equipment is brought in to make it safe to search the rubble.

"Right now, we are looking at where the house was to make sure that there is nobody trapped in there."

A search turns up nothing the dogs are found safe, the missing man, who is in his 20s, later turns up at the University of Michigan Hospital

Neighbors that witnessed the ordeal still can't believe anyone survived.

"It was horrible. It really was."
