Thieves use stolen car to smash into Miami electronics store.

Authorities are investigating after thieves crashed a car crashed into a cell phone store in Miami, Florida Tuesday morning.

The incident happened at Wireless Toyz.

North Miami Police officials say thieves deliberately crashed the stolen car, a champagne-colored Nissan Maxima, into the store and made off with an unknown amount of merchandise.

Footage from the scene showed the car almost completely inside the store with just the front end sticking out of a broken window.

"I feel so bad," said store owner Ana Leonardi, who stood staring at the shattered front window later Tuesday.

The crime could possibly be related to other smash-and-grab style burglaries around the county.

Similar burglaries have happened at h.h. gregg stores in Aventura and Hialeah and an electronics store in North Miami Beach.

"Just ridiculous," said Wireless Toyz employee Edouard Pierre-Louis, who swept up shards of glass Tuesday. "People are doing anything for a buck."

Pierre-Louis wasn't immediately sure just how much was missing from the store, which remained open for business.

"Life goes on, all you can do is clean up and continue trying to help the customers," he said. "Hopefully the police do their job and catch whoever did what they did."
