A mistrial has been declared in the aggravated assault case against La Villa Police Chief Eloy Cardenas.
Cardenas was on trial for allegedly shooting at his ex-wife husband with bean ball shells as he passed Cardenas home. The Police Chief insisted it was in self defense and saying the wife's ex-husband had threatened him in the past. Prosecutors say they are planning to re-try Cardenas in the future.
