BROWNSVILLE — A former Gulf cartel member and five other individuals were arrested by ICE officers at a local restaurant on Thursday on bribery charges.

U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson says that Gulf cartel member Juan Carlos De La Cruz Reyna was arrested after being released this month after serving a 30 month prison sentence. Magidson says that Reyna and the other suspects had bribed undercover agents to get safe passage back into Mexico.
