College of Cardinals chooses a new leader for the Roman Catholic Church on the second day of the conclave.
He is Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio and chose to be named Pope Francis, which is a first, for the Vatican.
Pope Francis is making history as being the first South American Pope, first non-European pope since the first Pope Peter
Choosing the name Francis is significant since many believers thought no other Pope would take that name out of defference to St. Francis of Assisi.
Pope Francis was the archbishop of Buenos Aires, Argentina and the first Jesuit Pope.
