In the City of Pharr, a series of car burglaries has police on high alert.
After members at one Valley Sports Club notified News Center 23 of their cars being broken into.
Members at Summit Sports Club in Pharr say, they're outraged after they fell victim to car thieves.
They don't want it to happen to anyone else.
The victims did not want to appear on camera, but tell News Center 23 that earlier this week, after working out at this private sports club they discovered their cars, ransacked in the sport's club parking lot.
All their electronic belongings were stolen.
We spoke to Summit Club Managers, they say in the past, there have been a few break-ins.
They say, it's happening, not just in their parking lot, but all over Pharr.
So they should not be singled out.
Pharr Plice say, car burglaries are on the rise, and residents need to be more careful.
Xenia Miranda is a member at Summit Sports Club.
She says, she always locks her sports car, and hides her personal belongings from clear sight.
"Make sure you don't leave anything around, that they would try and get it," she says.
She says, the club needs to install security cameras for everyone's protection.
Club managers say members need to take responsibility for the safety of their own personal belongings.
That's why in the parking lot, you'll find signs, which read, lock your car, take your keys, and hide your belongings.
Pharr Police want you to call them if you see anything suspicious.
Call their Crime Stoppers line at 787-tips.
