Brownsville voters have five candidates running for mayor in the municipal election on May 14th.

Incumbent Mayor Pat Ahumada is in the running, but so are four other people: Tony Martinez, Michael Garza, Edward Camarillo and Viro Cardenas. All candidates have all filed signatures of voters to get on the ballot and all have been checked except the Cardenas signatures which are pending.

Four candidates have filed for the At Large Seat A, Martin Sakis, Estela Vasquez, Leticia Garzoria and Robert Lopez. There are also contests in May for District 1, District 2 and District 4 commissioner seats in Brownsville.
