Campaign Trail: A Little Laughter
President Obama and Mitt Romney share some laughs at a charity dinner in New York.
After a tense debate earlier this week, the candidates wake up this morning after a fun night on the campaign trail. President Obama and Governor Romney laughing together about their first debate.
There were lots of laughs at this charity dinner in New York last night - most of it about the first presidential debate. "I felt really well rested after the nice, long nap I had in the first debate," said President Barack Obama.
"Big bird didn't even see it coming," joked Mitt Romney, (R) Presidential Nominee.
And on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart - gauging the first lady's reaction to both debates:
But no jokes about the latest polls - NBC shows President Obama leading Iowa and Wisconsin. If he wins both - plus Ohio - he can lose every other swing state, and still win the election.
Today, the president is in Virginia; Governor Romney is in Florida.
And their running mates are exchanging words on the campaign trail - about Paul Ryan's book, "Young Guns."
"You had - unfortunately the bullets are aimed at you," said Vice President Joe Biden
"President Obama said 'He can't change Washington from the inside.' Isn't that why we elect Presidents?" Rep. Paul Ryan/ (R) Vice Presidential Nominee
This weekend, the candidates go back into study mode for Monday's final debate which will focus on foreign policy.
