CAMERON COUNTY — The Cameron County Election's Office has reported that this election year brought out a large number of local voters. Election Administrator Roger Ortiz says more than 75,000 people cast their ballot and he says there were no major problems on election night, "There were small hiccups, like always, there will always will be, but nothing major that you say couldn't be corrected immediately or that we could visit and fix, so I think overall it was a good election."
