The Cameron County Emergency Management Office now has a new tool to utilize during emergency situations.
The department has purchased a nearly $130,000 dollar rapid response mobile generator with the help of a Homeland Security grant. The 300 kilos watt generator will be available for regional use where power is critical during an emergency situation. There's a possibility that the new tool will be fired up for official use within the next few months.
