They're back! Heavy rainfall that's produced flooding in parts of the county has left behind standing water, some areas, only small puddles, other areas, several inches of water.

Either way, this water creates a prime breeding environment for mosquitos and residents across the county are starting to report an increase in the biting, flying insects. County Health officials remind us to help with the mosquito control by doing these four things:

1) Stay indoors during dusk and dawn.

2) Dress in long sleeve and pants and spray them with repellant.

3) Be sure the repellant has the Deet ingredient.

4) Drain any standing water around the yard and gutters.
