In a NewsCenter 23 update, more than 10 months after the storm, four Valley towns will get money for hurricane repairs.

Cameron County officials say, FEMA gave the county two pots of money, one for $9 million dollars and the other for $2.5 million dollars. The Commissioner's Court awarded Primera, Santa Rosa, Rio Hondo, and Combes, $500,000 dollars each from the $2.5 million dollar budget.

Earlier, mayors from these cities were upset, because they said, they did not get enough funding, but officials say some of the town's didn't ever apply for the funding. The Office of Rural Community Affairs will distribute the money.

The remaining $650,000 dollars will go to Cameron County drainage projects.
