Call Me "Officer Morgan"

Thanks to the help of local police in Georgia and an NBA star, a physically challenged boy becomes an honorary police officer. Matt Pearl reports.

(NBC News) NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal was one of many surprises as Covington, Georgia honored a 5-year-old boy whose wish was to be a police officer.

The young Covington resident has spinal muscular atrophy, a genetic condition that affects his muscle movement and leaves him in a wheelchair.

But Morgan always has a big smile on his face and spreads sunshine to all who meet him.

When the Covington Police Department learned Morgan's story, they wasted no time in making his dream come true.

The little boy was sworn in as the newest member of the force.
