Construction still has not resumed at the Ocean Tower condos on the north end of South Padre Island.

As we first reported, construction was halted at the multi-million dollar skyscraper. Building inspectors say, the sky high tower was settling, and sinking into the sand, more than it should be. Cameron County building officials say city engineers are still trying to investigate the damage.

A final report is expected within the next few days and until then, the construction remains at a stand still.
