Business Leader Takes Part in Teach for America

RIO GRANDE VALLEY — Community leaders are taking part in Teach for America this week as Senator Eddie Lucio and President of Wells Fargo Alma Ortega Johnson were teachers for the day.
Mrs. Ortega Johnson was teaching at IDEA school in San Juan instructing students on world history.Teach for America representative Robert Careon stated, "Teachers are very important part of that but also a very important part of that are leaders in the business community, in the civic community, in government also expressing that belief and that IDEA to children that their education is the most important thing that they can be doing on day to day basis."
