(WLBT) A Mississippi teen in court to face larceny charges is facing even more trouble after breaking into a car in the courthouse parking lot.

Ridgeland Police said a woman went inside the building and returned a short time later to find a window of her vehicle broken out and her purse missing.

Surveillance video showed a person wearing a hooded jacket with multiple colors walking around the victim's vehicle and breaking the window stealing the purse.

The man, identified as 18-year-old Edward D. Boyd, was arrested a short time later. Boyd, who was limping in the security video, also admitted to police that he had recently shot himself in the foot with a stolen handgun.
