Memorial Day is one of the biggest weekends for travel.
According to Triple AAA, 32 Million travelers, that's 84 percent of Americans will hit the road.
With many drivers taking road trips, the Texas Department of Public Safety is ready to enforce the seat belt law with their "Click It or Ticket" campaign.
"It's just instinct you get into your vehicle, automatically put on your seatbelt."
Driver, Migurel Cardenas says, he doesn't forget to buckle up.
And 17-year old, Bernice Baodec has only been driving for one year, but she says she hasn't forgotten the all important seat belt law, that she learned in driving school.
She says, "It's really important, you never know when there could be an accident, you can get in real serious trouble for an accident, end up in the hospital, maybe even get killed."
She says, sometimes seat belts can be uncomfortable, but that won't stop her from buckling up.
The Click or Ticket enforcement is in effect thru June First.
DPS-spokesperson, Johnny Hernandez says, drivers and passengers not wearing seat belts can be fined anywhere from 25 dollars to 200 bucks.
"If we decide not to wear our seat belt, we have to pay the consequences, that's life and life is not fair."
"You better buckle up or else you'll be getting a ticket, that's a no-brainer."
