Residents of Oak Hill, Texas flee their homes before firefighters prevail.

A 100-acre brush fire that sent residents scrambling from their Oak Hill, Texas homes has been contained.

The destructive brush fire happened after a 60-year-old homeless man, Michael Bernard Weathers, started a campsite fire to cook eggs, according to court documents.

Residents that were evacuated will be allowed to return to their homes Monday afternoon to pick up essential items if they show a driver's license.

However, they must leave until the area is given the go-ahead for all residents to return.
