Brownsville youth football team ranked among top in the state

 The Brownsville Cowboys play in TYFA or the Texas Youth Football Association. This is the first year the Cowboys are playing in 7 & under TYFA, and they are off to a great start at 7-0 and ranked number two in the state.

Head coach Arturo Rosales says he's proud of his players, and says this league teaches the kids lessons on and off the field.

“It builds family, we teach them obviously the fundamentals of football, we teach them how to get along with their teammates, it teaches them discipline, nothing teaches you discipline like football.”said Rosales

“We do it for the kids teach them the game, teamwork is very important, like I said it is all for the kids they have come a long way from day one practicing from two months ago to now, and hopefully the season will end strong for us.”said coach Santana Torres.

The Cowboys have one final regular season game against rival the Brownsville Falcons. Then the playoffs begin where they hope to make it to the state championship.
