A 28 day old baby is in critical condition. Police say the baby's 17 year old mother is partially to blame for her baby's condition. She's charged with child endangerment.

Alejandra Cordova was arrested thursday for her child endangerment charge which is a 2nd degree felony after her child fell from a porch.

Cordova's 28 day old child was sitting on this porch on West Levee. He was accidently pushed and the baby dropped three feet. He hit the cement causing severe damage to his head. That damage includes suffering from blood clots.

Police are unsure if Cordova was on the porch or inside at the time of the incident. When the child landed police say the mother did not take him to get medical attention.

Cardova who also has an 11-month old child remains in the Brownsville City Jail.
