Brownsville Police Enforcing Speed Limit Laws
BROWNSVILLE — While some drivers think that going five miles over the speed limit is okay, police want to advise them that it ain't so.
Officer Jose Trevino says even if you're going one or two miles over the limit there is no leeway and you will be issued a ticket. Trevino says the department has seen it's fair share of accidents due to speeding and enforcing the law is all about safety, "You can cause an accident if your going over the speed limit. Everything is designed to where certain areas are allowed so much, so your not going to travel 50 mph within a residential area."
