Takes the role of director of security and chief of police at the Port of Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE - The Brownsville Police Chief is also leaving. But this is by choice.

 Police chief Carlos Garcia announce he's leaving to become the new Port of Brownsville Security Director.

Garcia has worked for the Department for the past 30 years and says he and his fellow officers accomplished a lot

during his tenure. Garcia will finish the remainder of the years as chief before making the move to the Port of

Brownsville.
