Over $6,000 dollars went out to junk this weekend as Brownsville officials paid residents for their trash during a citywide bulk waste clean up.

About 26 tons of household trash, furniture and large appliances were collected and properly disposed of at the Brownsville landfill. The city is currently planning other events to clean up the community.
