Brownsville Museum to host King Tut exhibit
BROWNSVILLE, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — A 15 foot cast stone sculpture of King Tut has arrived at the Brownsville Museum which will be hosting an exhibit.
The 1,300 pound sculpture was created by Miguel Horn, from Philadelphia, will be place outside the museum as part of the King Tut exhibit that will be featured until October of 2014.
Mr. Horn commented on the sculpture stating, "We wanted to have a sculpture that would really announce to the public that the treasures are inside with the treasure outside would be just as impacted and thanks to the BICC we were able to create this sculpture in time."
The sculpture will stay in Brownsville permanently outside the Brownsville Museum of Fine Arts.
