Brownsville Man Accused of Stabbing Teen to Death

The Cameron County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a teen that was allegedly stabbed to death by a 30-year-old man.

A group of teens, including a 14-year-old, went to a home looking for a girl, but ended up at the home of 30-year-old Jose Miguel Mireles.

According to reports, Mireles got into an argument with the group and then stabbed the 14-year-old repeatedly with a knife.

Mireles is in custody and has been charged with evading arrest and murder.

The teen was from Houston and had come to the Brownsville area to visit his grandmother.
