Brownsville ISD employees get raises, others may lose their job
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Good news and alarming news for Brownsville I.S.D. employees following last night school board meeting. The good news for employees, they got raises, the bad news, there are some positions that may soon be cut, specifically, 43 clerks may lose their jobs.
AOEB President, Patrick Hammes commented, "One of the things the superintendent has expressed is that we need to improve how we greet parents and in the time we greet parents to make a better impression, and by reducing those numbers, it's going to be very difficult to do that."
