BROWNSVILLE - Candidates for the Justice of the Peace and District Judge in Cameron county had a chance to let their voices be heard by the public.
The Brownsville Cheezmeh held a public forum for those candidates who will be on the March primary. Each candidate was given two minutes to introduce themselves and explain why they're the best candidates for the office they are running for in March. All the candidates were asked questions by three moderators. Erasmo Castro, one moderator, said, "It's important for the community to be informed of what the candidate is actually running for, what he is bringing to the table what they have to offer for the citizens of Brownsville."
On Friday the Brownsville Cheezmeh will hold another public forum at the Veterans of Foreign Wars building for candidates running for the Cameron county Sheriff and District Attorney office.
