Brownsville Biggest Loser Challenge

It's that time of year again to try to slim down and have some fun.
Next Friday January 11th at Southmost Public Library and Saturday January 12th Linear park registration and weigh-ins begin for the big loser competition.
Last year's winner was Pam Ramirez.

"During the competition from January until the weigh in I lost about 40 pounds I have gone to lose 57 and kept up the healthy habits."

The competition is over a fourth month period.
The city will hold healthy activities, have cooking classes, health screenings, and fun runs and walks.

"The challenge is done to meet the critical need in South Texas over 82% of Brownsville is overweight or obese thus qualifying for idea the Biggest Loser, something to help them become healthier."

There will be 4 categories in the competition.Individual male, female,small group which is 2 to 10 participants, and large group of 11 to 26 participants.
The winners will be based on percentage body weight lost over the 4 month period.
The winner get some great prizes including $200 to $1200 in cash.

Competition is Free.

Must be 18 years and older to register.

January 12th Linear Park 9am-12pm
