Brownsville airport's tower to remain open through fiscal year
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — After all of the questions and uncertainty surrounding the sequester, turns out it's going to be business as usual at the Brownsville airport.
The US department of transportation announced today that the FAA has found enough money to end all scheduled furloughs at 149 low traffic American airports, including Brownsville.
There was never any threat of interruption of service in Brownsville... But now federal funding has been restored... and that will ease financial pressure on local governments and agencies.
