Brownsville Airport to See Increase of Flights

The month of March kicks-off the Brownsville/South Padre Island airport 's peak season with Spring Breakers from across the country and Canada are beginning to trickle in this week.

The big boom is expected next week as Spring Break for Texas schools and many others across the nation falls on March 12th through the 15th. As of now, all flights in and out of the airport are completely full stated Airport Director Larry Brown, "We are expecting an increase over previous years in terms of the tradition Spring Break / Semana de Santos season. We're actually expecting an increase somewhere in the upwards between two to five percent in terms of additional traffic."
