Police say at an apartment complex on 400 block of Old Port Isabel road Monday afternoon 20 year old Oscar Eduardo Perez went into an apartment where he took several items.

"He took electronics and jewelry were the main items." Police say Perez left the apartment and exiting through the window.

The victim says she recognized the suspect as her neighbor. Police say was going to file a report until some items were missing.

"She was going towards his apartment when he came out and threatened her with a knife at that time police arrived and were able to detain Perez without incident."

 Police say that Perez also took a police radio that belonged to a BISD security guard.

"It's was very important being it had the police frequency, so we were able to recover that."

Police say that some of the victim's items were recovered. Perez was given a $40,000 bond.
