Voter registration at Valley port of entries will not be happening after the Bridge Board agreed that doing so would slow down the traffic flow too much.

The board did agree to let toll collectors encourage people to take part in the upcoming elections. Bridge directors believed the port of entries were one of the best ways to spread voter awareness. Bridge Superintendent Rigo Villarreal stated, "There will be a lot of people, hundreds of people and you know they may not register at that time, but maybe it will be behind, subconscious and they'll register later, but it all about having our voices heard."

While toll collectors will encourage people to vote, they will not be pressing anyone to vote for a particular party. A sign informing people how to register will be posted with a phone number to call to register.
