Several papaya brands are being recalled in the Valley for fresh whole papayas because the fruit may contain salmonella.

During FDA testing, two samples were found to contain the salmonella strain causing the recall. The brands to look for are all Blondie, Yaya, Mananita and Tastylicious papayas that were sold prior to July 23rd. The papayas were imported from Mexico and if you have any questions on the recall you can contact the company at 1.800.385.7658.
