BPUB to implement new odor control solution for wastewater treatment
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) is starting to transition to a different odor control solution for treatment of wastewater.
An odor control product is being used at several wastewater collection stations to help maintain the proper pH balance and some customers might detect the odor in the air.
BPUB will begin using the solution in the first week of May at all lift stations and should be done by the end of June.
If customers have any questions or concerns, they should call (956) 983-6100.
