The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) is currently performing electrical inspections on pad-mounted and underground equipment at properties located in the Brownsville Country Club area throughout May.

These inspections are necessary to ensure that equipment is in good working and safe condition. This will increase service reliability and safety for BPUB customers.

Because many lots have transformers installed at the rear of the property, BPUB wants customers to be aware that electrical inspectors will need the cooperation of the residents to gain access to this equipment. Residents also are asked to secure any pets while the work is being performed by BPUB inspectors.

Work is beginning in the southwest portion of the Brownsville Country Club. This includes properties on Toluca Drive, Torreon Drive, Mante Court, La Paz Court and surrounding streets. Once inspections on these properties are completed, crews will expand their work to other areas.

The inspectors performing the work are uniformed employees. These employees have been trained to show BPUB-issued identification at the customer’s request. Residents may also call BPUB to verify employment by dialing 956-983-6100.

If customers have any other questions about the work that is being done, they may call BPUB at 956-983-6100.
