BPUB Announces No Rolling Blackouts to be Ordered

Winter Storm Status Update

Brownsville Public Utilities Board announced no rolling blackouts have been ordered by Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) as of 10 a.m. Ice build-up on power lines is causing sporadic outages. Crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible.

Residents are being asked to conserve electricity during this time.

Currently there is part of a feeder out of service. Need to coordinate with MVEC to restore service to customers served by feeder that is out of service. This outage is affecting customers on Feeder H-5230 from Rey Jaime Street on Robindale Road up to Rey Carlos Drive and Robindale Road also going east on Coffee Port Road from Robindale Road to North Central Avenue.

Some of the streets included in this outage are: Solid Drive, Diego Lane, Yoli Lane, Crockett Avenue, Vivian Drive, Magali Circle, Cattadori Court, Rey Fausto Drive, Rey Enrique Drive, Villa del Rey Avenue, Creekbend Drive and Anei Circle.
