BP Rescuing Immigrants On The Rise

BROOKS COUNTY- The number of immigrants rescued is increasing. Sixteen people were rescued by Border Patrol agents over the weekend. It happened in a brush area in Brooks County when a man called 911 saying his group needed help. Another rescue happened in Kenedy County on Sunday. None of the individuals rescued over the weekend required medical assistance and are expected to be deported. According to Border Patrol officials, so far this fiscal year they have rescued more than 180 illegal immigrants whose lives were at risk due to a variety of circumstances.
