Box Or Buy

Which is healthier for kids, a home-packed lunch or the school cafeteria?
The debate happens every school year.
Do you pack your child's lunch or give him money to buy lunch in the cafeteria?
Registered dietician Misha Biden says the answer could be both.
Biden recommends that parents review menus with their children for each day and help them decide what would be the healthiest lunch option.
"See what's for lunch on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, whatever and if your child really likes something on the school cafeteria menu, then maybe once a week they can buy that," explained Biden.
Biden said school lunches have gotten better than they used to be, but bringing a lunch is the only way to ensure your child will eat what you want.
