Mom doesn't let labor pains stop her from taking son to Pre-K registration, where she delivers with the help of teachers and staff. Phil Archer reports.

(KPRC) A Texas mother, worried that her 4-year-old son would be shut out of pre-kindergarten classes, gave birth Thursday while waiting in line to register at Pasadena's Fisher Elementary School.

Vanessa DeLeon said she was already having contractions when she arrived at the school Thursday morning with her three children.

"At 9:40 a.m., when we got there was when I started timing them and they were like five to six minutes apart," DeLeon said.

"It was very important for him to go to school. He was going to be mad at me for the whole year if I didn't register him, so we had to, definitely had to," she added. "I went and gave them the package and said am I missing anything else cause I'm in labor right now and I have to go."
