Borders Goes Belly Up
Retailer begins liquidizing assets after failing to find a buyer.
Borders bookstores will be closing their doors for good.
After months of trying to stay in business, the book and music vendor is calling it quits.
The company filed for bankruptcy back in February.
It put is 399 stores up for sale but never received an offer.
Bookworms have been swarming to the stores to snap up the remaining stock.
Borders says it just can no longer keep up with competition from online retailers like Amazon and e-readers.
