Border Patrol honors fallen agent with memorial monument
LAREDO, TX — On October 16, Hebbronville Border Patrol Station unveiled a memorial stone monument honoring fallen Border Patrol Agent Jeffrey Ramirez. The monument sits on the front lawn of the Hebbronville Border Patrol Station. In attendance were his parents, sister and brothers; one of whom is also a Border Patrol agent.
Agent Ramirez, a native of Laredo, Texas, suffered a sudden work-related injury and subsequently died on September 15, 2012. Since his death, Agent Ramirez has been added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C.
The Laredo Border Patrol Sector is part of the South Texas Campaign, which leverages federal, state and local resources to combat transnational criminal organizations.
